Gregory and Anne Clark are old money. Gregory's family has their very own prestigious law firm and Gregory became a partner of it after his grandfather passed away. Anne was his second wife, his first wife was a wicked bitch, and he was much happier in his marriage to Anne. However, his second wife made threats against the family, threatening to take away their only daughter as she had always wanted a child and Gregory had never given her that. Afraid of what might happen - Gregory and Anne gave their only daughter to a women of three that had been close family friends for a very long time to raise her.
As far as Emerson knew, she was abandoned by her father and she had three mothers that were a group of friends that decided to live together after being screwed over by men. That's how she spent sixteen years of her life and she was fine with that. She spent her time gardening, with animals, and being home schooled. It was also on her sixteen birthday that she fell very very ill. A hereditary disease that required a donor that no family member seemed to manage. The help came from a complete stranger and it saved her life.
Once she was recovered, she discovered the family that she never knew about. Her real parents and her siblings. It took her awhile to adjust but she didn't see it as losing any family but gaining more. Emerson has the backing of the family funds but she loves teaching and that's what she is currently doing. Personality wise she's very kind, respectful, polite, friendly, responsible, poised, and an all around well mannered girl.
