“Well hello there! Uh.. Who are you and where did you come from, dude? Just introduce yourself.”
“Hello to you too, beautiful. I’m Leon. I don't really have a nickname though. I’m from Paris, France. Uh... I’m twenty-five years young; I work as a host in a restaurant. Trust me I’m a lot more interesting than I seem.”
“You’re from Paris? What was life like for you when you were growing up?”
“You know growing up in Paris was actually really nice. I was born there, and pretty much lived there for my life up until I moved here. I had no siblings, but I did have plenty of friends and close acquaintances. My father owned a restaurant, so I pretty much grew up in there. He started to teach me everything from cooking, to being a waiter, to hosting. I guess I just fell in love with the business. My mom was always there too. It was sort of a family thing. But she was much stricter than my dad when it came to if I should work there or focus more on school. I wasn’t exactly a straight A student, so she was worried I couldn’t make anything of myself when I graduated. Though one skill that I did have was being personable. I mean I’m not bragging, but people liked me. I was pretty popular with girls, which was pretty sweet.”
“Haha! Are you quite the ladies man, then?”
“Ah.. That’s a tough question. I mean people have called me that but I don’t see it. When I see someone that I want, I go for it and try to win them over. I’d like to call myself a hopeless romantic, but I’m not sure if others would agree with that. I mean hey, what person doesn’t want to be swept off their feet or carry some girl off into the sunset? You might as well be friendly and see how everyone reacts to it. Romance is fun.. So is flirting.”
”Sounds like my kind of man. Why did you move to Lake Waters?”
“Well you see, when I was in Paris and had finally graduated, I just worked in my father’s restaurant. I guess I got a little restless. One day I just decided I needed to make a name for myself on my own. So I ended up going to America and just floating around doing odd jobs. Eventually I just found myself in Colorado. One of the people in my apartment building was talking about Lake Waters and I figured it was just the place for me. I mean they probably had some job, and I would be settled in one place for a while. Plus it was another area with a bunch of new girls to scope out.”
“So I guess there’s not a special girl in your life?”
"Not at the moment, but hey, that can always change if I find the right person. I’m always up for making friends though. You never know when you’re going to need them after all. I never saw the point of people that seemed to show distaste for other humans. Being kind and friendly also makes things more fun. What's life without having some fun and breaking some rules? But back to the question, as much as I love being romantic, and I love the idea of soul-mates, I think I'm still playing the field a little bit for fun."
"Okay I think that's all I need to know! Thanks for answering!"
"No problem. And sweetheart, don't hesitate to call me again. *winks* I'd love to get to know you."
