- - "HELLO THERE! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR NAME! WHAT'S THE ORIGIN?"
"Thanks! Call me Bernie, though. My full name sounds so... formal. It's French. My mother's actually a native from Paris. Yes, I know some French too. Mother always used it around the house when we were younger. I don't talk French all the time unless it's around my mother or the swears, those always leave your mouth."
- - "WHERE ARE YOU FROM? DID YOU LIKE IT?"
"I'm originally from New York City. We lived in the Upper East Side and my mother made sure my siblings and I were put in the right schools. She personally gave us etiquette lessons, which involved manners and what fork to use in the table. My brother and I were troublemakers during those times. He used to make a mess when painting and I played the Chopsticks song on the piano. We were kids. But, I can't say my older brother has matured that much. I was the timid boy that got into mischief now and then. High school and college were a breeze. There were good and bad memories. Nothing that important to share."
- - "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FAMILY?"
"I love them. We've always been close, you know? My mother is Isabella Canton and she's a lovely lady. She never really mentioned my father, her ex husband. They divorced after my sister was born. I hardly remember him since I was two. The only thing he did was send checks in the mail without a letter. I never asked what happened between the two, but my mom has Tom now. He's my stepdad and a good man too. He and Mom got married when I was a child. He doesn't have much money and my mother's family still call him an "alley cat." It's part of the reason why Mom still has her maiden name to keep them happy. I never understood that since he's one of the nicest men I've met. My mother is very happy with him.
My siblings will kill me if I didn't mention them. I'm the middle child. Yes, you can pour in all the jokes about middle child syndrome now. Our ages are not that far apart so we're close. There's my older brother who has been the crazy child in the family. He left out of the house as soon as he can to travel the world. I always find him on the go. He can never stay in one place. I looked up to him as a child, copying every single thing he did. We used to team up to pick on our sister. She lives in Lake Walters with me. I'm surprised she wanted to come with me to this peaceful town. She acts like an aristocrat, respecting her manners and proper appearance. You should see how we argue at times. It could get pretty crazy, but we forgive each other eventually. We play together in a band. It's how we pay our rent."
- - "HOW DID YOU GET INTERESTED IN MUSIC?"
"Ever since I got involved with it. My mom made sure that we all had lessons in art and music. Piano stuck to me, I guess. I've been playing ever since I was six. My relatives believed that I would become a piano accompanist and they were slightly disappointed when I turned to more restaurant joints to play my music. The orchestra just seems boring to me. At least at restaurants and other small venues you could meet different kids of people. My favorite part of music is you can easily communicate with people no matter what kind of genre it is."
- - "WHY DID YOU MOVE TO LAKE WALTERS?"
"My sister and I were traveling a bit with our music. We decided to stick to one place especially when we came to Colorado. It was a change from New York. I guess we've been living her for almost a year now. Our brother hasn't come to visit us yet. He'll come over one of these days, hopefully. We currently work at a restaurant called Roy's. It's a bit more classy than other restaurants so my sister and I usually perform jazz. We take requests from customers too."
- - "YOU SEEM LIKE A GOOD GUY. WHAT ARE SOME PERSONALITY TRAITS?"
"To sum it up, I am a good guy. There's no way I am prince charming though. That's a little too soppy for me. I like having my own share of fun and I tend to be quiet. This town is perfect for me. It's not too boring like a ghost town or crazy as an urban city. I'm very friendly, so I don't mind to meet new people. Also, I am very protective of my younger sister. It's a brother thing, I guess. It grows on you."
- - "WE LIKE TO HAVE SOME QUICK, FUN QUESTIONS IN THIS INTERVIEW SO WE'LL CALL THIS THE LIGHTNING ROUND. READY?"
"Sure, let's go."
- - "FAVORITE FOOD?"
"Lemon soup."
- - "LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?"
"Love Actually. It was my soppy sister's idea."
- - "WORST FEAR?"
"Frogs. Don't ask..."
- - "MORNING BIRD OR NIGHT OWL?"
"Morning bird."
- - "CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?"
"Chocolate."
- - "ANY SECRETS?"
"My family's wealthy. Oh, I see what you did there. Clever, clever. I guess the cat's out of the bag, huh? My mother comes from a long line of French aristocrats. Supposedly, we are distantly related to Marie Antoinette. I still have no idea how that works. But, yeah, we are actually inherited to some money under my grandmother's will. Don't tell anyone. My sister and I would like the citizens here to think we are ordinary."
- - "HOW'S YOUR LOVE LIFE?"
"Love life? That's funny. Let me get a date with a girl first and I'll get back at you."
- - "I THINK THAT'S IT. THANK YOU FOR YOU TIME, BERNIE!"
"You are welcome."
