Because there is so much that she sees of herself in the gypsy women. Rosalie, like Esmeralda, is fearless, streetwise, caring, brave, non-judgmental, humorous, and a free spirit. She goes where she pleases and does what she pleases - rarely ever staying in one place for long. The most important thing to know about her is that just like the heroine, she is more than capable of taking care of herself. She's never really needed anyone and yet is always there to lend that heart of gold of hers to help out others in need. Rosalie was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona to a family of five. She was always the free spirit - took care of herself, handled her own responsibilities, and never was one that easily took too being told what to do. As she grew older, she started traveling out on her own more and returning when she felt that she needed too. When she finished high school - her father lost her job and the family began to disperse. She started living on her own, trying to make ends meet, and taking college classes here and there. She's moved quite a bit ever since after facing evictions, heart breaks, losses of jobs, and so forth. Now she's settled in Colorado where she had found a job as a dancer but because it wasn't quite paying the bills it progressed into stripping. She's not proud of being a stripper and the other things she does at times to make money but she does love to dance.
