Obviously he was the dim wit if he couldn't tell that she wasn't in the mood to accept the apology after the way he had treated her al night. The man was infuriating. However, she couldn't deny the fact that she was indeed very hungry. Of course she didn't like giving him the satisfaction of knowing that but her stomach gave her away. Damn my luck. Really she wanted nothing more to do with the guy but who could really turn down a free breakfast? She was prideful but not stupid. And she really hated him telling her that she couldn't be civil. But she bit back her retort that was on the tip of her tongue. "Fine. Lead the way." It had been awhile since she last been to the diner but she wasn't really sure how to feel about showing up there with an officer. That was sure to get people talking but she didn't really care. It was just breakfast and if anyone asked, she'd gladly set the record straight about the events of tonight. There was no way in hell that she'd go out on a "date" with an officer.

i'll be your everything , Matt's mood was finally starting to return to a somewhat calm manner as Rosalie began to settle down, in his opinion. She was holding back retorts, he could tell, but that was a step in the right direction for them, right? "You know, I'm kind of glad you didn't turn out to be a prostitute," he whispered trying to make conversation as he led the way to the diner. As they walked in practically silence Matt took the time to look up at the stars which were shining through the clouds. He hadn't had much time now since getting a job at the precinct to just sit back and enjoy looking at the stars. It was one of his favorite things to do when he was a little kid, but now it was forgotten like a lot of things.
They reached the diner a few minutes later, and like the gentleman he really was Matt held the door open for the lady. No one was in the restaurant and the waitress was practically sleeping at the cash register. There were plenty of open seats and Matt motioned for her to choose one for them. "Anywhere in particular you want to sit?"

Rose had no qualms about who and what she was. Made no attempts to hide anything about her or really care what others though. She did what she wanted and played by her own rules. His soft comment made her smile for the first time genuinely around him. "Why is that? Because now you don't feel half as bad about checking me out like you have been all night?" Rose noticed these things. It came with the career that she was in right now - you could always tell when a guy was looking. And a guy like the one beside her - well he would have felt bad if she really was a prostitute and he had been checking her out all the while. Rose shook her head lightly in amusement and continued to walk on with him to the diner. Luckily for her that they were the only people coming in at this hour and nobody else except the waitress and the cook in the back were here. Rose walked a few steps than sat down on a stool at the counter and the waitress finally got up and looked to be at least half awake this time. "Chocolate milk and two buttermilk pancakes with syrup on the side please." Rose was the kind of women that usually knew what she wanted.

i'll be your everything , After Rosalie had taken the time to somewhat relax her nerves after their police station episode, Matt was actually beginning to be comfortable in her company. He wasn't afraid to say something out of fear she would completely bite his head off; it was a load off his shoulders. Matt choked on his own saliva as Rosalie just casually mentioned that she had noticed he had definitely been checking her out this evening. He secretly chastised himself for not being too sneaky when it came to taking a peek every now and then. "No, actually," he fumbled for a reasonable come back. "It just just wouldn't look good, you know, a cop and a prostitute in cahoots." Then again stripper and cop wasn't that much better when it came to the judgmental glances of people.
Matt followed her in the diner towards the counter as she slid onto a stool. He did the same next to her and waited for the sleepy waitress to come take their orders. She rubbed her eyes as she dug out the pen and pad from her front pocket. Matt raised an eyebrow as the woman ordered, amused at her seemingly childish choice. The waitress turned to him and he ordered a stack of pancakes and a cup of coffee, black. He really didn't enjoy coffee that much, and it was more or less to impress the damsel sitting beside him. "So, I guess I never properly introduced myself. I'm Officer Matt Simons." He offered a hand to shake, but the counter made it all awkward. "And I've been told that you're Rosalie. Pretty name." He took a drink of the coffee that the waitress set in front of him. As he swallowed he tried not to choke on its bitter taste.

Never saw that one coming but hey life was unexpected. Now he had her full on laughing. So much for the officer thinking that he had been sneaky and his comment was pretty hilarious. It also had her raising her eyebrows at him. "And a stripper dressed like this and an officer is any better?" She mused, yet lucky for them it was late and no one was really around. Probably be the talk of the town. And it would probably cause her more problems than it would ever cause the officer beside her.
Rose was amused by the waitress too. If you couldn't handle the night shift and stay awake than find a day job. That's how Rose worked, she slept during the day and then worked during the night and fit her schedule to work around that. The food order may be childish but she could care less. Those two things tasted wonderful together and well she always was a slight kid at heart. If the officer was trying to impress her with his order, he was kidding himself. She wasn't easily impressed. "Well finally a name to a face." It couldn't be quite said that it was nice to meet him. I mean he had after all put her under arrest and treated her like a criminal. Forgiveness didn't mean she'd forget what happened right away. She smirked as he complimented her name just as their drinks were set in front of them. <b>"You certainly are something. Do you usually insult women first and move to flattery later?"</b> It was rather amusing and it was clear right now that she wasn't all too offended by it.
